Movie: Les Mariés de l’an deux Synopsis Nicolas Philibert veut divorcer de Charlotte pour épouser, en Amérique, une riche héritière. Il rentre donc en France mais à peine débarqué, il est entraîné dans le tourbillon frénétique de la Révolution. Au cours de son voyage picaresque, il retrouve enfin sa femme Charlotte.

What a fun-filled and energizing day! Indo French Hub in association with IATF and IFI was glad to organize a movie screening for 90 students of Vibgyor High School. The children thoroughly enjoyed watching ‘ Le père Noël ‘. There was a small discussion at the start. They used French words to reply… Fun with learning!!! 19th August 2018 - What a fun-filled evening! around 70 people gathered for the same reason - Love for the French Language! Screening of L'Homme de Rio presented by Mr Christophe Legris - Outgoing Attaché, French Embassy.

L'Homme de Rio is a French/Italian international co-production 1964 adventure film directed by Philippe de Broca and starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Françoise Dorléac. This fast-moving spoof of James Bond-type movies features striking location photography by Edmond Séchan. At the 37th Academy Awards, the film was nominated for the Oscar for Best Writing, Story and Screenplay. The story has been inspired by the series of comic albums 'The Adventures of Tintin'.

Actor Rahul Vohra graced the event and made it interesting with his take on this movie. Thank you all for making this event a huge success.

A beautiful Sunday afternoon 22nd September 2019 spent well with many French teachers and enthusiasts.
It started with a guided museum visit at Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum. Such a rich heritage we hold! It was truly mesmerising, followed by the French film screening.
Mr Philippe Guillien, Attaché - French Embassy introduced the movie with his insights and experiences. A government office that functions much like “The Office” is the setting of “Quai d’Orsay,” a sparkling and savvy comedy of political manners from the unlikely hand of veteran French auteur Bertrand Tavernier.
All in all, it was a fun-filled hilarious movie. Must watch!

About the Resource Person

Rahul VOHRA

Starting off in 1984, apart from his abiding interest in acting, in films, TV and theatre, Rahul Vohra has a deep understanding of Indian folk and classical arts and of World aesthetics, theatre and cinema. First, as founding Co-ordinator of Sarthi, a voluntary group set up to address basic rights of traditional artists and artisans, and since 1999 with his own independent company APOSTROPHE 99, Rahul Vohra has directed productions with troupes of performing artists and craftspersons from all across the country, showcasing their work in various parts of the world including France, Spain, Reunion and Hong Kong.
Some of his famous projects include the 1993 The Gypsy Road and NAVRASA at the Festival Printemps des Comédiens, Montpellier and in the Reunion Island, Jhalak at the World Cultural Forum Barcelona, 2004; and The Palace of Winds with an international cast of artists from six countries to inaugurate the festival Printemps des Comédiens(Montpellier) in June 2005 and in 2008 the Mahabharata with Jean Claude Carrière and Teejan Bai and an International cast In Reunion Island. Rahul has been an artistic consultant on several documentary film projects for various French TV channels such as TF1, FR2, FR3, Arte, Planète and Paris Première. 
Rahul has acted in many seminal feature films and short films in Hindi, English and in French such as Mira Nair’s Kama Sutra - A Tale Of Love and Monsoon Wedding, Sabrina Dhawan’s Saanjh and Ashutosh Gowariker’s Swades and Franck Appréderis’ Le Passeur d’enfants de Pondichéry.   On television, he has featured amongst others in shows such as Amma and Family, Good Morning Today, Bhanwar, Yeh Dil Kya Kare, RAAZ and Aap Jo Bolen Han to Han and hosted The Real India Travel Show on BBC World. 
After graduating in Economics from the University of Delhi, Rahul Vohra completed a Masters in French Cinema and Translation from the Jawaharlal Nehru University and then specialized in International Cultural Management with a state doctorate at FIC/UNESCO, Paris and the University of Burgundy, Dijon, France. Rahul is fluent in English, Hindi and French and can also speak some Punjabi and Spanish apart from an understanding of various Indian languages.  
Rahul was a consultant to Jean Claude Carrière for his book DICTIONARY OF INDIA LOVERS and has delivered lectures on the influence of the Panchtantra and ancient Indian literature on Lafontaine’s fables, in the festival LIRE EN FETES, on the relationship between Bhava, Rasa, and Tala in Indian Performing Arts, at the Festival Lire en Fetes at Champ Borne in Reunion Island and on Rasa; India’s gift to World Aesthetics, at the Newhouse Centre for the Arts, Wellesley College, Boston. Having worked with theatre greats like Jacques Lasalle and Ariane Mnouchkine and embodying Indo-French Cultural Relations he has played the principal lead nearly 900 times in the famous musical Bharati, which ran to full houses since 2006 in Paris and across the Globe, viewed live by close to 3.5 million spectators. More recently, he was Lead Actor and India Producer for Claude Lelouch’s latest film in India, One Plus One.
Artistic Advisor on the Board of N N Sippy Films, on the Board of Governors of the FDCI (Fashion Design Council of India) and on the Governing Body of the Goa Kala Academy College of Theatre Arts, a member of the SACD (Societé des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques), of the Screen Writers Association, of the IFTPC and an Honorary citizen of Montpellier, Rahul has conferred the top civilian honour, Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) by the Government of France in 2014, for significant contribution to theatre and cinema.

Elle a fait sa Formation initiale- FLE à l'Alliance française de Bombay ( 2011) et à l'université de Grenoble (2013).
Elle a fait son MASTER FLE–1 à l'Université du Mans (2016). En 2016, elle a suivi un cours de la civilisation française à la Sorbonne.
Actuellement, elle poursuit son MASTER 2 - Ingénieries de l'enseignement et de la formation en FLE , dans le cadre de BELC, France Éducation internationale ( CIEP) et l'université de Nantes. Ce Master est axé sur les pratiques professionnelles représentant 200 heures de formation.
Elle enseigne le FOS dans le monde professionnel. Elle a formé les professionnels des entreprises comme Legrand, Naval Group, Total, Général Mills, Jet Airways, Tata Motors etc.
Janvi a travaillé pendant 9 ans dans des écoles internationales où elle enseignait la langue française (FLE) à des enfants et des adolescents suivant les cours de Cambridge.
Janvi est créative et elle fait plusieurs activités culturelles en classe. Pendant ses cours, la préparation de la salade française est la tradition !!!. C'est une expérience inoubliable pour ses apprenants.

S’il y a une chose que vous devez savoir sur moi, c’est que j’adore le cinéma, et la culture en général, j’ai d’ailleurs moi-même travaillé dans l’industrie cinématographique. C’est pour cette raison que j’ai décidé de créer Clap Français, pour enseigner le français en utilisant le cinéma comme ressource principale. Mon approche est efficace, elle se base sur la méthode active, et mes étudiants l’adorent ! Je parle moi-même 3 langues couramment (français, anglais et portugais) et j’aime apprendre de nouvelles langues pour mettre mes techniques d’apprentissage au service de mes étudiants.

Tu aimes le cinéma mais tu ne sais pas comment l'utiliser dans ton apprentissage du français ?
Rejoins ces 10 semaines d'immersion dans le cinéma français pour découvrir de nouveaux films, partager des émotions et t'exprimer en français sur des sujets variés. Les films français c'est la garantie d'améliorer ton vocabulaire, de découvrir des nouvelles expressions et de pouvoir rencontrer différentes cultures à l'intérieur de la culture française.

Professeur de français langue étrangère, diplômée d'un DAEFLE et d'un Master en Techniques du Cinéma

  • Quand ?
    • Commence le 7 septembre 2021, les mardis, 18h- 19h Inde, 14h30- 15h30 Paris
  • Quoi ?
    • 5 séances de ciné-club : discussion libre sur le film en 3 parties : résumé du film et de l'intrigue, évaluation des différents aspects du film en groupe, rédaction de critiques de films.
    • 5 séances d’activités sur les films : étude d’une séquence spécifique du film, doublage créatif sur un extrait de film, création de cartes mentales pour synthétiser les nouveaux apprentissages, création de quiz interactifs en équipes
  • Public : niveau B1+, adapté aux professeurs de FLE
  • Nombre de participants : 8 à 10 maximum
  • Certificat de participation

Je suis professeur de français langue étrangère, diplômée d’un DAEFLE et d’un Master en Techniques du Cinéma
S’il y a une chose que vous devez savoir sur moi, c’est que j’adore le cinéma, et la culture en général, j’ai d’ailleurs moi-même travaillé dans l’industrie cinématographique. C’est pour cette raison que j’ai décidé de créer Clap Français, pour enseigner le français en utilisant le cinéma comme ressource principale. Mon approche est efficace, elle se base sur la méthode active, et mes étudiants l’adorent ! Je parle moi-même 3 langues couramment (français, anglais et portugais) et j’aime apprendre de nouvelles langues pour mettre mes techniques d’apprentissage au service de mes étudiants.
