Poème: La tolérance à l’ambiguïté

English Translation

The tolerance for ambiguity

I see masked faces,
Pacing down the hallways,
All crying from the bottom of the ladder,
The crisis dawns upon the mortals.

I try to gain perspective, while becoming strong,
Every time that I wake up,
More innocents swallowed by the god of death.

The day breaks without a cloud in the sky,
What dawn is this that resembles a mirage?

By dusk, it all feels like a relapse,
The darkness of the shadows intensify,
A thick cloud of fear looms over the world.
The suffering and sacrifice of innocents, do they deserve it? I ask.

This virus propagates a deathly war, which lives of the fate off the innocents,
The vengeance, the power, the wealth all stand defeated in front of the wrath of this invisible killer.

Call 15 (911 equivalent of France)! One gives into the panic, one starts to lose hope,
In the end, it’s the condolences that fill in the empty silences!
The little girl wants to hold her father’s hand for one last time,
But attention! You must maintain distance.
Love doesn’t know it’s own depth until it faces separation,
This pandemic shall spare no one!

Far across the horizon, dressed in uniform, these soldiers start the fight in the name of humanity,
The borders re-unite once again, in solidarity and in isolation to confront this killer,
He has played russian roulette with the breadwinners and the wealthy
The common man is freed of his routine, he is lost in incertitude, hope and media brainwash.
He can no longer withstand the boredom…the apathy,

The victory is round the corner, one day at a time one is living the history sans bloodshed.
